The Word Jockey is a professional writing & communications consultancy service. Stemming from the need gap of communication experts and writers, this service intends to offer all kinds of writing communication services. From corporate blog-writing to website content, from script writing to press releases, TWJ will help you Write Right. TWJ also provides Ideation for BTL and PR services as an extended MarCom portfolio.

Initiated by Payal Shah Karwa, TWJ was conceived for a 2 fold purpose:
To plug in the need gap for good writing & communication in the corporate world and society

Professional experience:
With over 6 years’ of experience in the field of MarketingCommunications and as a published freelance writer, Payal Shah Karwa has gained adequate ground to venture out as a consultant and professional writer. Her career graph spans a varied profile of PR, Below the Line Planning and Communication in companies like Out-of-Home Media, Hanmer MS&L, Ogilvy and Midas Events. She has extended her creative, writing and planning skills to brands such as:

Carbon etc to name a few.
   
Her writing career stemmed from her passion and inherent talent of good penmanship. She has worked on project basis for several reputed publications both online and print, including Outlook Profit, LIVE IT, DNA Me, Femina, Essel Group, Web18, GAF etc.

Why The Brand Name ' The Word Jockey'
It's an interesting story. I wanted a unique, lateral and not-a-'what does that mean' brand name for my venture. The word 'Word' had to be inclusive. Because I am dealing with words. And I love words. So I conjured up Wordlab, Wordsworth, Wordfactory- and a whole bunch of layman names. Didn't quite like any. Did a little dipstick with some friends, but nothing really struck. One day, as I was getting ready to get in the shower, I switched on the radio and the acronym RJ hit my ears. And the grey matter antennas which had been routing brand name ideas, clicked! That was it, I thought. The Radio Jockey - then came the Disc Jockey - so why not The Word Jockey? Jockey means to steer something to a good position, like a Horse Jockey does. An RJ or a DJ plays good music,makes people rock. So then a Word Jockey writes good stuff and professionally helps people put their communication at vantage point. Thus came about The Word Jockey, with the underlying philosophy of Write Right.
